Project Summary

A project manager for Black and McDonald contacted me, saying he had been trying for a year to find someone to fix up a substation where his guys did a lot of work. I decided to take the job!

Ventilation grilles needed painting, a rear door had to be painted, new vinyl baseboards put in after some drywall repair, conduit holes patched, and a huge section of wall fixed up and finished with vinyl siding. It took a few days, but all the work was completed.

Project Challenges

There were a lot of things here that I hadn’t done before. It was a lot of learning, and I even made a scale model of the siding to make sure it would work. Most of this was very custom work, so it took a while, and it certainly was not in the best conditions. The work on the siding was done sitting on a small piece of plywood 8 feet in the air. But where there is a Kincardine Handyman, there is a way.
